personality: confident, artistic, self-centered, airy. bit of an ego and prone to creating performances. thinks everyone's her friend. uninhibited, easily bored and thrill-seeking. deep but not difficult to read. extremely determined and hard to shake from her goals. willing to put up her fists. keeps serious promises but can sometimes be a flake. encouraging and protective of those who need it.
history: only child from a upper middle class californian family who are TOTALLY normal and NOT involved in ANYTHING nefarious. trained in dance, music and acting from a young age, had one of "those" moms but also just actually extremely talented. accidentally publicly outed herself as a mutant at 14 years old, which scared the shit out of her parents and everyone in the audience at the performance it happened at. evie was taken out of her expensive ass private hs and subsequently "homeschooled" (ie ignored and mostly kept away from other kids except for dance class) until she began reaching out to other mutants and releasing music online a la edm/performance pop artiste flavored lorde. she would not be contained!!!! and people loved it. she quickly became a controversial pop culture figure with fans and mutantphobe detractors alike.
the situation got a little hard to control. her parents had wanted her to be famous, but NOT LIKE THAT!!! other stuff happened and i feel like she almost got swept up in some weird shit (pls help me color this in; i feel like i might give her dad/mom criminal connections unknown to her just for spice so like... maybe some other underworld stuff) but xavier appealed to her first. what if she were a hero?? an icon??? AN EMBLEM OF JUSTICE??? thus she's been at the academy ever since but is constantly torn between being an x-man (which she is very serious about actually) and her ~ART guys.
she DJs and clubs often (to get that Noise Power Juice) but i think her career/aesthetic is otherwise kinda addison rae vibes except for the experimental tracks she creates specifically to weaponize. [general inspo playlist]
(wee note: she has one beloved and highly memed song from early in her public persona that absolutely haunts her but ppl won't let go of (like this lmfao))
evie also hosts dance class when it suits her and is determined to direct a serious performance showcase at the academy one day.
powers n stuff:
* she can fly! or at least, she's figured out how to finagle her powers so that she can propel herself into a hover and/or pop up on top of a roof if needed. she is working on doing this for longer periods but it is very tiring.
* she can rollerskate! she's really good at it! also uses her powers to go zoom zoom and flying kick ppl with her wheels
* sound = light /// energy manipulation. sick light shows, gentle illumination, blinding explosions of color. dazzling! she is able to store energy and when properly juiced (been to the club a few times that week lmao) or drawing from a REALLY LOUD SOUND she can also emit concentrated photons in the form of powerful lasers or other constructs (light sword! light projectiles!!!). of note: her eyes are polarizing and she cannot herself be ~blinded by the light
* skilled athlete / hand-to-hand combatant
* triple threat 💁♀️
